一、朗读 Read aloud
放学后，爷爷带我去组屋楼下的小贩中心吃午饭。
fàng xué hòu yé ye dài wǒ qù zǔ wū lóu xià de xiǎo fàn zhōng xīn chī wǔ fàn
After school, Grandpa took me to the hawker centre below our HDB block for lunch.
那里人很多，每个摊位前面都排着队。
nà lǐ rén hěn duō měi gè tān wèi qián miàn dōu pái zhe duì
There were lots of people, and there was a queue in front of every stall.
爷爷买了一碗鱼片汤，我买了一盘鸡饭。
yé ye mǎi le yì wǎn yú piàn tāng wǒ mǎi le yì pán jī fàn
Grandpa bought a bowl of fish soup, and I bought a plate of chicken rice.
吃完以后，我看见旁边的桌子上留着很多碗盘，很不好看。

After eating, I saw lots of dishes left on the table next to us. It looked messy.

三、会话 Conversation
情景：你的同学说：“吃完东西以后，把碗盘留在桌子上就好，会有人来收。”
nǐ de tóng xué shuō chī wán dōng xi yǐ hòu bǎ wǎn pán liú zài zhuō zi shàng jiù hǎo huì yǒu rén lái shōu
Your classmate says, "After eating, just leave the dishes on the table. Someone will come and clear them."
老师：你同意他的话吗？为什么？
nǐ tóng yì tā de huà ma wèi shén me
Do you agree with him? Why?
范例：我不同意。我们应该自己把碗盘送回去，这样桌子就会保持干净，清洁工人也不会那么辛苦。
wǒ bù tóng yì wǒ men yīng gāi zì jǐ bǎ wǎn pán sòng huí qu zhè yàng zhuō zi jiù huì bǎo chí gān jìng qīng jié gōng rén yě bú huì nà me xīn kǔ
I don't agree. We should take our dishes back ourselves. That way the tables stay clean and the cleaners won't be so tired.
💡 Start with 我同意 or 我不同意, then give a reason.

When you eat at a hawker centre, what else should you remember?
范例：要排队买食物，不要用纸巾占位子，也不要把食物喂给鸟吃。

Queue to buy food, don't reserve seats with tissue packets, and don't feed food to the birds.

rú guǒ zhuō zi hěn zāng wǒ huì xiān yòng zhǐ jīn cā gān jìng zài zuò xià lái chī wán yǐ hòu wǒ yě huì bǎ zhuō zi shōu shi hǎo
If the table is very dirty, I will wipe it clean with tissues first, then sit down. After eating, I will tidy the table too.
💡 Say what you would do with 我会……, then what you would do after eating too.
老师：你喜欢在家里吃饭还是在外面吃饭？为什么？
nǐ xǐ huan zài jiā lǐ chī fàn hái shi zài wài miàn chī fàn wèi shén me
Do you like eating at home or eating out? Why?
范例：我喜欢在家里吃饭，因为妈妈做的菜又好吃又健康，一家人还可以一边吃一边聊天。
