二、完成句子 Fill in the blank

💡 Little brother is the one doing it to the toys, so 把 brings the toys before the action. 被 would mean the toys did something to him.
我的蛋糕被小猫吃掉了！
wǒ de dàn gāo bèi xiǎo māo chī diào le
My cake was eaten up by the kitten!
💡 The cake comes first and something happened to it, done by the kitten: that is a 被 sentence.
请你把门关上。
qǐng nǐ bǎ mén guān shàng
Please shut the door.
💡 关上 means to shut. We say 打开 (open), never 开上 or 打上.
我的衣服被雨水淋湿了。
wǒ de yī fu bèi yǔ shuǐ lín shī le
My clothes got soaked by the rain.
💡 Rain falling on you is 淋: 淋湿 means soaked by rain. Rain doesn't 洗 (wash) or 喝 (drink) clothes.
小明把作业本忘在家里了。
xiǎo míng bǎ zuò yè běn wàng zài jiā lǐ le
Xiaoming left his exercise book at home.
💡 忘在家里 means you forgot it at home. 想 (think) and 记 (remember) don't go with 在家里 like this.
我把垃圾丢进了垃圾桶。
wǒ bǎ lā jī diū jìn le lā jī tǒng
I threw the rubbish into the bin.
💡 I am the one doing it to the rubbish, so it is 我把垃圾……; 被 would mean the rubbish did it to me.
窗户被大风吹开了。
chuāng hu bèi dà fēng chuī kāi le
The window was blown open by the strong wind.
💡 The window had something done to it by the wind, so it takes 被: 窗户被大风吹开了.

qǐng nǐ bǎ dēng guān diào
Please switch off the light.
💡 You switch a light off: 关掉. You can't wash (洗) or write (写) a light.
小猫把花瓶碰倒了。
xiǎo māo bǎ huā píng pèng dǎo le
The kitten knocked the vase over.
💡 Bumping into the vase makes it fall over: 碰倒. Looking (看) or listening (听) can't knock it over.
我的铅笔被同学借走了。
wǒ de qiān bǐ bèi tóng xué jiè zǒu le
My pencil was borrowed by a classmate.
💡 The pencil had something done to it, so 被 brings in who did it: 被同学借走了.
弟弟把玩具弄得乱七八糟。

💡 弄得乱七八糟 means "made a mess of". 做 and 写 don't go with toys here.
三、改病句 Correct the sentence
病句：杯子把弟弟打破了。
bēi zi bǎ dì di dǎ pò le
The cup broke my little brother.
改正：杯子被弟弟打破了。
bēi zi bèi dì di dǎ pò le
The cup was broken by my little brother.
💡 The cup did not break the brother: something was done to the cup, so it needs 被 (杯子被弟弟打破了).
病句：我把作业做。
wǒ bǎ zuò yè zuò
I did my homework.
改正：我把作业做完了。
wǒ bǎ zuò yè zuò wán le
I have finished my homework.
💡 A 把 sentence must say what happened to the thing in the end: 做完了, not just 做.
病句：他把那本书很喜欢。
tā bǎ nà běn shū hěn xǐ huan
He likes that book.
改正：他很喜欢那本书。
tā hěn xǐ huan nà běn shū
He likes that book very much.
💡 喜欢 is a feeling, not something done to the book, so it can't take 把: just 他很喜欢那本书.
病句：我的雨伞被借走了妹妹。
wǒ de yǔ sǎn bèi jiè zǒu le mèi mei
My umbrella was borrowed by my little sister.
改正：我的雨伞被妹妹借走了。
wǒ de yǔ sǎn bèi mèi mei jiè zǒu le

💡 The one who did it comes straight after 被: 被妹妹借走了.

💡 帮 already says who you help: 我帮妈妈洗碗. 把 is for the thing you do something to.

💡 One 了 at the end is enough: 忘在家里了.
