二、完成句子 Fill in the blank

wū yún lái le hǎo xiàng yào xià yǔ le
Dark clouds are coming; it looks like it is going to rain.
💡 Dark clouds bring rain, so 下雨 fits. The sun doesn't come out with dark clouds, and 放学 has nothing to do with the weather.
今天又热又闷。
jīn tiān yòu rè yòu mēn
Today it is both hot and stuffy.
💡 又 comes in pairs, for two things that are true at once: 又热又闷.
下雨了，出门要带雨伞。
xià yǔ le chū mén yào dài yǔ sǎn
It is raining, so take an umbrella when you go out.
💡 An umbrella (雨伞) keeps you dry. A fan or a swimsuit doesn't help in the rain.
风真大啊！

💡 真 (really, so) goes before a describing word to make it stronger: 真大. 吗 ends a question, and 的 doesn't go here.

💡 When the sun comes out the weather gets better (好), not colder or darker.
天气很好，我们去公园放风筝。

💡 Kites are flown: 放风筝. You can't eat or write a kite.

💡 When it is hot, your body gives off sweat: 出汗.

💡 Clouds and flowers take 朵: 一朵白云, 一朵花.

💡 When it rains outside, the dry place to play is 家里 (at home).

💡 又……又…… comes in pairs: 又热又闷.
病句：外面下雨着。
wài miàn xià yǔ zhe
It is raining outside (着 in the wrong place).
改正：外面正在下雨。
wài miàn zhèng zài xià yǔ
It is raining outside.
💡 To say it is raining right now, use 正在下雨; 着 does not go after 下雨.
病句：天上有一个彩虹。
tiān shàng yǒu yí gè cǎi hóng
There is a rainbow in the sky (wrong measure word).
