星期六上午，妈妈出去买菜了。
xīng qī liù shàng wǔ mā ma chū qù mǎi cài le
On Saturday morning, Mum went out to buy groceries.
我看见家里很乱，就想帮妈妈做家务。
wǒ kàn jiàn jiā lǐ hěn luàn jiù xiǎng bāng mā ma zuò jiā wù
I saw that the house was very messy, so I decided to help Mum with the chores.
我先拿起扫把，把地扫得干干净净。
wǒ xiān ná qǐ sào bǎ bǎ dì sǎo de gān gān jìng jìng
First I picked up the broom and swept the floor until it was spotless.
接着，我把衣服一件一件叠好，放进衣柜里。
jiē zhe wǒ bǎ yī fu yí jiàn yí jiàn dié hǎo fàng jìn yī guì lǐ
Next, I folded the clothes one by one and put them in the wardrobe.
最后，我给窗边的小花浇水。
zuì hòu wǒ gěi chuāng biān de xiǎo huā jiāo shuǐ

Just then, the door opened. Mum was back from buying groceries.
妈妈看到干净的家，惊讶得说不出话来。

When Mum saw the clean house, she was so surprised she couldn't say a word.
她摸摸我的头说：“你长大了，真是妈妈的好帮手！”

She patted my head and said, “You've grown up. You're a real help to Mum!”
