学校放假了，我们回到马来西亚的外婆家。
xué xiào fàng jià le wǒ men huí dào Mǎ lái xī yà de wài pó jiā
When the school holidays came, we went back to Grandma's home in Malaysia.
外婆的家是一座木头房子，就在小河旁边。
wài pó de jiā shì yí zuò mù tou fáng zi jiù zài xiǎo hé páng biān
Grandma's home is a wooden house, right next to a little stream.
院子里有很多鸡，它们咯咯地叫个不停。
yuàn zi lǐ yǒu hěn duō jī tā men gē gē de jiào gè bù tíng
There are lots of chickens in the yard, clucking all the time.
我撒了一把米，小鸡们都跑过来抢着吃。
wǒ sǎ le yì bǎ mǐ xiǎo jī men dōu pǎo guò lái qiǎng zhe chī
I scattered a handful of rice, and the chickens all ran over to grab it.
房子旁边有一棵红毛丹树，树上结满了红红的果子。
fáng zi páng biān yǒu yì kē hóng máo dān shù shù shàng jié mǎn le hóng hóng de guǒ zi
Next to the house is a rambutan tree, covered in bright red fruit.

In the early evening, Grandpa took me fishing by the stream.
等了好久，我终于钓到了一条小鱼！
