农历八月十五是中秋节，这天晚上，我们全家人到爷爷奶奶家过节。
nóng lì bā yuè shí wǔ shì zhōng qiū jié zhè tiān wǎn shang wǒ men quán jiā rén dào yé ye nǎi nai jiā guò jié
The fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month is the Mid-Autumn Festival. That evening, our whole family went to Grandpa and Grandma's house to celebrate.
奶奶在桌子上摆满了月饼、柚子和杨桃，香味扑鼻。
nǎi nai zài zhuō zi shàng bǎi mǎn le yuè bing yòu zi hé yáng táo xiāng wèi pū bí
Grandma filled the table with mooncakes, pomelos and starfruit. A lovely smell filled the air.
吃过晚饭，我和妹妹提着灯笼，在院子里跑来跑去。
chī guò wǎn fàn wǒ hé mèi mei tí zhe dēng long zài yuàn zi lǐ pǎo lái pǎo qù
After dinner, my little sister and I ran around the courtyard carrying our lanterns.
五颜六色的灯笼像一颗颗小星星，把院子照得亮亮的。

The colourful lanterns were like little stars, lighting up the courtyard.

Suddenly, my sister pointed at the sky and shouted, “Look, the moon has come out!”

The big, round moon hung in the sky like a silver plate.

We ate mooncakes while we admired the moon, and Grandpa told us the story of Chang'e flying to the moon.
