明天是母亲节，我想送妈妈一份礼物。
míng tiān shì mǔ qīn jié wǒ xiǎng sòng mā ma yí fèn lǐ wù
Tomorrow is Mother's Day. I want to give Mum a present.
我用彩色笔画了一张卡片，上面有一颗大大的爱心。
wǒ yòng cǎi sè bǐ huà le yì zhāng kǎ piàn shàng miàn yǒu yì kē dà dà de ài xīn
I used colour pens to draw a card with a big heart on it.
我还用红色的纸，折了一朵小花。
wǒ hái yòng hóng sè de zhǐ zhé le yì duǒ xiǎo huā
I also folded a little flower out of red paper.
我把卡片和小花藏在书包里，不让妈妈看见。
wǒ bǎ kǎ piàn hé xiǎo huā cáng zài shū bāo lǐ bú ràng mā ma kàn jiàn
I hid the card and the flower in my school bag so Mum wouldn't see them.
第二天早上，妈妈一走进客厅，我就大声说：“母亲节快乐！”
dì èr tiān zǎo shang mā ma yì zǒu jìn kè tīng wǒ jiù dà shēng shuō mǔ qīn jié kuài lè
The next morning, as soon as Mum walked into the living room, I said loudly, “Happy Mother's Day!”
我拿出卡片和小花，送给了妈妈。
wǒ ná chū kǎ piàn hé xiǎo huā sòng gěi le mā ma
I took out the card and the flower and gave them to Mum.
妈妈看了卡片，高兴得眼睛都笑弯了。
mā ma kàn le kǎ piàn gāo xìng de yǎn jing dōu xiào wān le
Mum read the card and was so happy that her eyes curved into smiles.
她紧紧地抱着我说：“谢谢你，这是我最喜欢的礼物！”
tā jǐn jǐn de bào zhe wǒ shuō xiè xie nǐ zhè shì wǒ zuì xǐ huan de lǐ wù
She hugged me tight and said, “Thank you. This is my favourite present!”
