今天放学后，我坐巴士回家。
jīn tiān fàng xué hòu wǒ zuò bā shì huí jiā
Today after school, I took the bus home.
车上人很多，我好不容易才找到一个座位。
chē shàng rén hěn duō wǒ hǎo bù róng yì cái zhǎo dào yí gè zuò wèi
The bus was crowded, and it took me a long time to find a seat.
过了两个车站，一位老奶奶提着一大袋菜上了车。
guò le liǎng gè chē zhàn yí wèi lǎo nǎi nai tí zhe yí dà dài cài shàng le chē
Two stops later, an old lady got on carrying a big bag of vegetables.
车子开动了，老奶奶站不稳，差一点摔倒。
chē zi kāi dòng le lǎo nǎi nai zhàn bu wěn chà yì diǎn shuāi dǎo
The bus started moving. The old lady couldn't keep her balance and nearly fell over.
我想：我也很累，可是老奶奶比我更需要这个座位。
wǒ xiǎng wǒ yě hěn lèi kě shì lǎo nǎi nai bǐ wǒ gèng xū yào zhè ge zuò wèi
I thought: I'm tired too, but the old lady needs this seat more than I do.
我马上站起来，扶着她坐下。

I stood up straight away and helped her sit down.
老奶奶拍拍我的肩膀，笑着说：“谢谢你，你真是个好孩子！”

Even though I had to stand all the way home, I felt warm and happy inside.
