星期六早上，妈妈带我坐地铁去图书馆。
xīng qī liù zǎo shang mā ma dài wǒ zuò dì tiě qù tú shū guǎn
On Saturday morning, Mum took me to the library by MRT.
进站的时候，我自己拍卡。
jìn zhàn de shí hou wǒ zì jǐ pāi kǎ
At the gantry, I tapped my card by myself.
我们站在黄线后面等地铁。
wǒ men zhàn zài huáng xiàn hòu miàn děng dì tiě
We stood behind the yellow line to wait for the train.
地铁来了，我们先让车里的人下车，再上车。
dì tiě lái le wǒ men xiān ràng chē lǐ de rén xià chē zài shàng chē
When the train came, we let the people inside get off first, then got on.
车里很凉快，我看着窗外，二十分钟后就到了。

It was cool inside. I looked out of the window, and we arrived twenty minutes later.

zhè shì shén me dì fang nǐ shì zěn me zhī dào de
What place is this? How do you know?
范例：这是地铁站。因为牌子上写着“地铁站”，还有一列地铁停在那里。
zhè shì dì tiě zhàn yīn wèi pái zi shàng xiě zhe dì tiě zhàn hái yǒu yí liè dì tiě tíng zài nà lǐ
This is an MRT station, because the sign says "MRT station" and a train is stopped there.
老师：图里的人在做什么？
tú lǐ de rén zài zuò shén me
What are the people in the picture doing?
范例：一个男孩和妈妈在等地铁，旁边还有一位老爷爷和一位阿姨。地铁的门开了。

Why must you stand behind the yellow line?
范例：因为地铁开进来的时候很快，站在黄线后面比较安全，不会掉下去。

Because the train comes in very fast. Standing behind the yellow line is safer, and you won't fall onto the track.

What must you not do on the MRT?
范例：在地铁上不可以吃东西、喝饮料，也不可以在车厢里跑来跑去。

On the MRT you must not eat or drink, and you must not run about in the carriage.
三、会话 Conversation
情景：老师想知道你平时怎么去别的地方。
lǎo shī xiǎng zhī dào nǐ píng shí zěn me qù bié de dì fang
Your teacher wants to know how you usually get around.
老师：你最喜欢坐什么交通工具？为什么？
nǐ zuì xǐ huan zuò shén me jiāo tōng gōng jù wèi shén me
Which kind of transport do you like best? Why?
范例：我最喜欢坐地铁，因为地铁又快又舒服，不会塞车。
wǒ zuì xǐ huan zuò dì tiě yīn wèi dì tiě yòu kuài yòu shū fu bú huì sāi chē
I like the MRT best, because it is fast and comfortable, and it never gets stuck in traffic.
💡 Use 又……又…… to give two good points.
老师：你坐地铁去过哪里？
nǐ zuò dì tiě qù guo nǎ lǐ
Where have you been by MRT?
范例：我坐地铁去过外婆家，也去过海边。
wǒ zuò dì tiě qù guo wài pó jiā yě qù guo hǎi biān
I have been to my grandma's house by MRT, and to the seaside too.
💡 Use 去过 for places you have been: 我去过……，也去过…….
